concrete jungle

Haven't blogged and also don't have a DLSR since I've moved to New York City for school!
Anyways, I've been really busy since class started and pretty much working in the studio (studying fashion design) for hours upon hours with my classmates..

Still got to experience many great things since I got here though! I'd say living in NYC is not as expensive as people say unless you plan to party or eat at a fancy restaurant every night (I believe tips is 20% at night here..). Everything you may want is so easily accessible there. Personally, I love going to japanese restaurants and book stores, which they have many of here. There's also Korea town only a few blocks away. SoHo shopping is one of the greatest things there are!! no taxes on clothing under $100!

I think I tend to take photos whenever I eat.. and almost no other occasion lol! I thought I'll share some of those photos here since I wanna update the blog finally!

A japanese restaurant in Korea Town, this is katsu with kimchi and cheese and curry!

Red mango is definitely my favourite froyo place here!

Kimbap at a small Korea Town in Flushing, Queens. My friend treated me!!

Discovered a macaron specialty store literally a minute away from me! Their macarons are pretty damn tasty, the best I've had before!

Sushi from a restaurant when I went back home for the long weekend actually.

Pinkberry is another good froyo place, still prefer Red Mango tho.. (the cashier misspelt my friend Mutsumi's name as 'MUGSUSI' LOL)

Quick stop at Ajisen Ramen for dinner with a friend I met here who's an exchange student from Bunka College in Japan!! (I really wanna study there for maybe a semester or two, which is not possible..)

Me and my suitemates all have severe ice cream cravings.. so this happened. :)

One night I invited my friend over and made Japanese curry and miso soup!

Overall, I'm slowly adjusting to college life and New york pretty well.. At first I was very homesick! Everything settles down once you've kinda found a place you belong within the school community..? I'm beginning to actually focus on my studies and get into routine here. :)
